This project is a complete visual redesign of “Toldot HaKoteret”, an album by Israeli musician Rami Fortis. The task was to reinterpret the album’s visual identity across multiple physical formats, including vinyl and cassette, while preserving the spirit of the original work and adapting it to a contemporary design language.
Rather than creating a purely typographic or minimal redesign, this project builds a narrative visual world inspired by the album “Toldot HaKoteret”. The visual language is driven by illustration, characters, and surreal scenes, translating the emotional and ironic nature of the album into a sequence of visual moments.
The designs function as a journey — each cover and booklet spread acts as a different chapter, echoing the album’s shifting moods and lyrical imagery.
The design tells a story using the album’s existing visual symbols: imperfect, unusual characters who don’t quite fit in. Over time, these figures find others like themselves and form a collective journey through space.
